A Night In in London

I think sometimes all one needs to re-charge the batteries is a night out. But I was browsing Tatler the other day and discovered something better-- a night in. What if you could have a plush five star room in a swanky London Hotel, a room decked out nicely with a super queen bed and incredibly plush sheets on a pillowy mattress; and what if the room came with wait staff at the ready and other service personnel catering to your every need, including access to a spa and then a five star breakfast the next morning? Well this is what the Connaught in Mayfair is offering as a Sunday, one night packaged deal. It's a brilliant idea, no? I would take it.

These are images of the Apartment at the Connaught. It's not part of the Sunday deal, but if I stayed at the Connaught, I'd ask for a tour of this and other spaces.

Bedside Table Solution

 

The first picture in this line of bedrooms is of my bedroom. I had that little Ikea  Rast chest of drawers upholstered in fabric and trimmed in nail head. I can't put much on top of the chest but it does have a little glass container (behind the candle stand) where I can store my earrings when I take them out at night; and that top drawer holds a million different types of night creams,books and my nail filers. The other two  drawers have more hand potions and foot creams, headache medicine, socks, head scarves, tissues and miscellaneous things I reach for at night--like nail polish.

 

This last stand/étagère in the line up is the greatest solution-- best part of it is obviously that it doubles as a bar cart. Nightcap solved. Brilliant!

Bohemia

I had a boyfriend who once told me he knew when I was coming into a room: my ten thousand bracelets and rings sounded like a fire alarm going off to him and it was a sure sign I was about to enter a room. Bohemia is trending again and I am all for it. One can never wear to many rings and things during this trend. Have at it!
