Softening the Contemporary

Listen, we can love fashion and not want to go to NYFW/LFW at all ---let alone teetering around on space-age block-heeled platforms, squeezed into seventies flared trousers and a cubist suede top with a $15,000 handbag as accessory. We can also love contemporary, antiques and vintage furniture and not want to live in a museum, right. I vote for a compromise in fashion and décor. Mixing it up: styles, era and price point. Especially when the style is contemporary.

Overly sleek curves, loud colours, cold materials, and stark lines soften up so quickly in the presence of pleats, patterns and embellishments.
